VERY REV. MSGR. JOHN ZURAW

The Bishop of the Catholic Diocese of Youngstown, Most Rev. David Bonnar named Monsignor John Zuraw the ninth pastor of St. Charles Borromeo in July of 2022. Msgr. Zuraw was also named the new pastor of St. Luke's Parish in Boardman, Ohio. The announcement of Msgr. Zuraw's new appointments also included a partnership between St. Charles Borromeo and St Luke's Parish. Msgr. Zuraw was officially installed as pastor of St. Charles during Mass on Saturday, November 19, 2022.
In the summer 2023 a new pavilion was built in the location of the old rectory. This pavilion replaced the pavillion on the hill which burned down in the fall of 2020. The new pavilion was attached to the old rectory garage to better utilize the space. In addition, a basketball court, swing set, gaga pit were also built in in the old rectory location.
In July 2023, the trailer in the southeast corner of the parking lot was abandoned by the Martha's Cupboard Ministry due to its deterioration. The ministry relocated in the St. Luke Room in the Parish Ministry Building.
On November 16, 2023 the new playground was blessed by Msgr. Zuraw with the whole St. Charles School present. In the spring of 2024 an official dedication and blessing will take place, honoring a former student who lost her battle with Neuro Blastoma. The playground will be named in her honor.
The weekend of January 13 and 14, 2024, it was a announced at every Mass that St. Charles Borromeo Parish and St. Luke Parish will merge into one parish.
