The St. Blaise Blessing is observed on the weekend closest to the Feast of St. Blaise. This traditional blessing is given for protection against illnesses of the throat and recalls the story of St. Blaise healing a child who was choking on a fishbone.

The blessing is tentatively scheduled for the weekend of January 30 & 31, 2027, following all Masses.
