Sacristans prepare the worship space for Mass by ensuring that all necessary items are in place. They attend to the sacred vessels, confirm the appropriate number of hosts for Communion, and assist with other liturgical preparations. Liturgy Coordinators ensure that all Communion distribution roles are filled by trained Extraordinary Ministers.

Volunteers in these ministries should be willing to arrive approximately 20 minutes before Mass to complete preparations and remain afterward to assist with clean-up.
