Extraordinary Ministers assist the presider and serve the Body and Blood of Christ at Mass and also assist in prayer services such as the distribution of ashes and the blessing of throats. 

Ministers are scheduled at the Mass of their choice.  Every effort is made to schedule family members together when serving in various ministries at the same Mass.Training is necessary.
